This was one of the most adventerous and blood pumping trips of my life. I went white water rafting in class 4 rapids, rode an ATV up a dormant volcano, and hiked through a rainforest teeming with wildlife. I was fortunate enough to take surf lessons, bask in geothermal hot springs, and even come face to face with a poison dart frog.

The fresh fruit in this country is mind blowingly delicious and nothing else close to what we get in the States. Food in this country has a completely different meaning than that I thought and it had so much variety and flavor that I couldn’t believe what I was eating. Staying in two very different regions of the country gave me a very different perspective on the different parts of the country. When I arrived I stayed in a rainforest villa overlooking a volcano and them moved to a beautiful hotel near the beach on the other side of the country. Everywhere I stayed in this country was very “Pure Vida.”
